Goldblins was a small puzzle game I created, inspired by the Musical Notes minigame in Where's My Water?. You had to roll a ball which would collect all 5 gems in the right order. Then the map would reverse, where you have to pick them all up in opposite order. You draw a line to guide the ball, where It can fall into different traps or components that change how the world works.
Alot of playtesting and itterative design went into developing and fine-tuning the levels. I did multiple sessions where I got feedback from different people on how to improve the project, such as adding the bonus stars for completing levels with a restriction.
I also created the assets for the project using Aseprite, jsxfr and Bosca Ceoil.
The game came with 12 different premade levels, you can get 3 stars per level for initially beating it, beating it quickly and using the least drawn lines.
You can draw one line, which can hit different components, which can teleport you, flip the gravity and launch the ball far.
I also created a simple level editor for the game where you can create custom levels and share them with friends just as copyable text.
